I'm Rich Avina, founder of Avina Hat Co. This started for me as a fascination with the art and craft of hat making and shaping. The idea of creating something unique — specially designed to be a one-off, wearable piece of art — was something I just could not pass up. I've spent the past 38 years as an engineer, and now I've discovered what I'd like to do for my next chapter.
I started Avina Hat Co. to build custom, made-to-order (bespoke) hats for individuals who have an appreciation for fine headwear. Avina Hat Co. also provides pop-up events where people can be introduced to the world of custom hats — acquiring a semi-custom hat, shaped before their eyes, in the design of their choosing.
